General BF trading guidance?

Is it poor taste to offer a trade on a knife listed for sale, that does not explicitly have a trade option? The other forum I am on its pretty common practice.

Imo...not at all. If it doesn't specifically state it in the listing. The worst they can say is "no thank you."

If they don't specifically note in the ad, no trades. Just politely message them and ask if they would be interested in the trade. Nothing wrong with asking, but likely a bit of a long shot. Chances better if you can go cash or trade.
But offering a bunch of cheap stuff for a high quality item is a waste of both members time IMO.
