I've been looking around and doing searches as much as possible and it seems like the general consensus is that the Gayle Bradley is a super solid folder, with excellent fit & finish, a great steel that holds an edge a long time, and is considered a lot of knife for the money. I'm looking for something comparable to my 0350 in size and it appears that the Gayle Bradley fits that niche nicely.

I'm looking for comments from people that either loved or hated this knife. I'm curious to know why, how long, etc.

I received one for Christmas and it fits right in with my other knives. It is smaller than my ZT 0561 but not much lighter. The Bradley seems to be a very solid knife. I don't have any experience with an 0350 but I think the Bradley would be a little less fat.

The Bradley was previously known as the Spyderco Gayle Bradley but now seems to be known as the Spyderco Bradley folder.

I have had one since they first came out, and got a backup last year, which should say something. I very rarely get a backup of anything.

For me it is two things. First and foremost, it performs. Great steel (holds an edge a long time, is tough, and easy to sharpen) and good blade geometry make it a fantastic cutter. Second, the fit and finish is outstanding. In my book, the only drawback is the weight.

Do yourself a favor and pick one up. M4 and carbon fiber scales as well as very solid construction and beautiful fit and finish= gayle Bradley.

Mine is carried daily, it's definitely one of the smoother hard use folders out. If you don't want it, someone will pick it up off of the exchange pretty quick.

It's in a class by itself. It has a custom quailty feel to it. Super smooth. Awesome steel and deep hollow grind that lets it perform.

I had and sold one but regret it. There are very few knives I saw that about. I was a great knife that I will probably rebuy.

Love mine for the reasons you just mentioned. Also, the ergo's are great and I love the carbon fiber scales.

I think the consensus is, I'm the only one who doesn't like it. That may change if I ever get around to making a set of scales that cover the liners, but until I do, mine will lay in its box and rust.

The quality build, blade steel and easy opening (with modification, see below) are its primary good qualities IMO.

I do not care for the hidden liner lock, which I find somewhat difficult to release though other folks are just fine with it, and the partially occluded Spyder hole. I like both to be accessible, and as such I had my GB modded in that regard to provide better access. I also wonder why slicky and blingy carbon fiber is used on a work knife, when G10 or even FRN is more grippy. Now granted, I use my GB as an EDC knife and not to deconstruct kitchens or build cabinets, so I'm not qualified to speak about traction in heavy usage, but the carbon fiber to me just seems a little misplaced on this knife.

I otherwise join the chorus of praises for this knife, though.

The GB is a great knife! hands down one of the best built for the money. I did a review here: http://centavogear.blogspot.com/2012/05/spyderco-gayle-bradley-carbon-fiber.html
Plus it has the Texas Logo on the blade, what else could one want?

You're not alone. I absolutely love the blade, but i'm not crazy about the rest. The lack of a good index finger choil is a huge downer for me.

I didn't mind the proud liners, but it was a bit heavy for my tastes.

Love the blade shape and steel.

Love mine, though I do feel it could be a touch lighter. Next to my pm2 and Southard its a hog

The Gayle Bradley is THE BEST KNIFE SPYDERCO MAKES. It is smoother than any Sebenza I have ever handled. It is one of the most comfortable knives in hand that I have in my collection. Here is the only pic I have on my computer. Sorry it is a picture of my EDC I did for Reddit.

it's the knife i keep coming back to. i prefer stainless due to the nature of the work i do and i used to bemoan the fact that it was uncoated m4. then i finally got over it and just used the knife. it's taking a nice patina and with a bit of care through the day i have had no real problems with corrosion. in fact, i disassembled it today and polished the bushings a bit and now it's even smoother than before. just a super solid knife that really performs. i like that the CF gives it a touch of class and i feel better about using this knife at work. it hits a sweet spot between being a tank and a slicer. i'd still love one in s90v but this one is just fine
