General Knife Discussion

8 1/2

Not sure about toughness. I consider them more a "gentlemans" folder, but I've been told they will take a beating and stand up to pretty heavy use.

Edit: If the only criteria were F&F and QC, I'd go 9+. I have 4 and only one has even a minor "problem", the blade is slightly off center.;)

I'd rate them consistently between 八 and 九.

Fit and finish are quite good - absolutely nothing to complain about. As for toughness and ease of sharpening sort of irrelevant from my point of view - agree with Allann45. Though can not emagine any reason for beating and heavy use. Would that be the notorious "survival situation"? :D

I've had 2. Fit and finish have been excellent. Factory sharpness has been on par if not better than Spyderco. Easy to sharpen for me, both blades have just been VG-10. As mentioned before, I can't really rate toughness. They are more gentleman folders. I would not hesitate to get another one.

From the one i have i have to give it a good 9. The toughness is great for its purpose as a gentleman's knife/special ocasion knife

Beautiful knives, hand assembled and finished. At least a 8 1/2 to 9. perfect for a gentleman's knife.

I have the Take in staminawood and the fit and finish are excellent - 9.5.
The only downside is that it is not the easiest knife to open - not as easy as a Spyderco, for example.
It is narrow and small, but a little thicker than you would expect, because of the blade thickness.
In terms of quality - you can't do much better. It is a very nice knife. I am considering getting a second Mcusta.

I think their products are just splendid, and they look refreshingly different from most current production.

I have had two. Different designs. Nice blade grinds. I couldn't get the blades to stay centered on either. If not for that, I would go with a 8 or 9. As they were, 6 or 7.
