Hi Folks-
This is another little general utility/hunter. I have taken a few of my shop knives and made patterns off of them--- then tweaked them to something I liked from a function and aesthetics standpoint--- with the hope of finding one that I liked well enough to make many of them. There are a few different reasons- the simple knives are a nice break from the fancier/bigger ones, I really like having a knife that can be finished in a more reasonable amount of time, I figure I can reach an audience with these that isn't in the big knife market, and they can be priced at a point where they will actually be used.
So I think this knife embodies what I was after.
It is made 5/32" 1095 hardened to 59/60 Rc with stabilized bird's eye Maple scales, a handrubbed blade, and two domed 416 pins.
Blade- ~3-5/8" X 1" wide at widest point
OAL- ~8"
The sheath is 9/10 oz. veg tanned leather, made for horizontal carry. I started to use my stitcher on it, but I'm still more comfortable with hand saddle stitching, so that's how it's sewn up.
$275 shipped in the U.S., if outside the states, we'll have to figure out what shipping would cost.
Thanks for looking!
This is the backside of the sheath, where your belt slides through it.
