Heyo knife people.

I've been out of the knife game for awhile and I'm sure I've missed a lot of new stuff but now with spring coming up I'm gonna need a new camping/backpacking knife and was hoping for a bit of help.

I'm just looking for something with around a 6 inch blade maybe, carbon steel is a plus but not necessary and locking sheath or option to be able to get one. Price range is $150 or under

Thanks for any help in advance and apologies I'm sure this kind of stuff gets asked a lot around here

essee 6 wouldnt be a bad choice if you dont mind coating? [a non-BF dealer has them for a low price]

Mora companion HD is a nice cheap 4 inches.

Couple that with a big knife of your choice, for me a BK9, or maybe a hatchet, I think you're set.

Or you might split the difference and get something like a BK7.

I just like Becker as they feel right to me, and I can get them easily. Could be for you it might be Esee or Schrade or Buck or whatever.

Buck 119 is relatively cheap and you can get a 5160 version or an S30V version, both good quality steels. Also check the custom section, I picked up a nice bushcraft/camp/food knife for under $150, I believe it has a 5" blade though. Still worth a look around.

Nothing wrong with the Strongarm. I like mine. I'd vote for the ESEE 6. If you have a big hand, you might want to look at the 6 HM which is pre-ordering now. You can always find a regular 6 + kydex sheath for around $100-110.
