GenIII rope pattern????

Personally, I'm not a fan of the "BUSSE COMBAT" carved into the handles, but that wouldn't stop me from giving those beauties a home.

And I'm not sure what you call the pattern on the M9LE handles, but they sure look like some sort of rope pattern to me too.

It's curious how the plunge line and grind height are different on those two. Hollow ground, too. Wonder why?

By the looks of these, they may have got it figured out.

Busse Combat carved into the handle is perfect for those of us that like uncoated blades & strip the coating off the CGs & lose the great Busse logo. Please do it on all CGs Jerry.(Better yet all knives)

Good eye! I didn't notice until you mentioned it. I wonder if it's just lens distortion or if they are different.

Those handles were dug out of a misc. handle slab box. . . They were made many years ago!

We no longer have the tooling or the programs to run the old Gen 3 or Ergo handles. . . If you see a pair on a knife, you are buying a piece of Busse Combat history!!!

Those old Satin Jack handles were buried under a mountain of old handle slabs!!!!

Nuke on!!!!

Jerry :D

Man I really want a SJ but refuse to pay the crazy prices they go for

Sometimes crazy is worth it! :o
By the way, haven't seen a SJ for sale lately to even be able to call it crazy.

There was that SJLE on the exchange a few weeks back, very reasonable price!

It just didn't have any slabs on em. I was very tempted by it but had to keep my wallet in check.

I missed that one! :(

Now it's comments that this that make me wonder as to what other 'stuff' Jerry has lying around in the shop undiscovered?

Prototypes, old blade blanks that have been tweaked/played with, slabs, drunken one offs.........you just don't know. Maybe a 'Spring Cleano Ganzaa' for next year?

I just can't let mine go. I believe I've sold off bits and pieces of all sorts of INFI, but never ... ever ... an SHSJ.

What can I say? It's an addiction.:o

Those who REALLY want 'em should go to a show like Knob Creek or Blade or one of Mike's OH specials ... or maybe this upcoming trunk show east. There are almost always a few modern, reasonably priced versions -- and they are wonderful.:D

Well, I've geolocated Jerry's shop ... and I'd love to do a little speelunking.

But I'm pretty sure Amy-0 would be displeased to find me rooting around in the trash bins. And Jerry might just ban me -- "no INFI for you ... one year!!":grumpy:

So ... it's not worth it.:o

Couldn't remember if that was yours on the exchange PorcupineMtns66, should have checked first. Sometimes I'm just lazy! :foot: :p

I did really want that knife though. I'm trying really hard not to buy knives anymore.
