Gentleman's folder for $75?

You mentioned it is a gift.. I have given about 5-6 Kershaw Crowns as gifts and they are a great value for around $10-15. 8cr13Mov is by no means my favorite steel in the world, but you would be hard pressed to find a gentlemen's folder for this price with this level of quality. They come in 2 sizes and blue or black handles.. Go on youtube and watch some reviews. If its a hard core knife guy then this may not knock their socks off. If its just a moderate enthusiast, they will be more than happy with this quality knife. (Its really for right hand carry as well so I only get them for rightys)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! As of right now I'm really liking the Case trapperlock and copperlock, the Boker Urban Trapper, and the Moki small Fish Owl. I think I'm leaning heavily toward the trapperlock.
What do you guys think of that knife?
Edit: After a bit of research, it seems that the trapperlock knives have a lot of issues with blade play, so I think I'm gonna pass. I have been looking at sim knives from GEC and Queen that look great, as well as the Case copperlock. I'm also considering the Delica and Centofante 3-not super fancy by any means but I think they'd make good gifts.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Boker TS Trapper Pocket Knife??? It's about as classic and useable as you're ever likely to find. It's around $40 and if you add the leather sheath for belt carry (which is a really, really nice piece of workmanship) you are still well under your budget.

I understand you might have some misgivings about the Boker brand from what you may have read about the Urban Trapper but I absolutely promise you the model I'm referring to has zero issues. Comes with antique yellow scales which are actual bone, I believe the bolsters are still nickel (double check that) and the blades are lights out sharp. If you want a useable blade length and without all the extra crap on a Swiss so and so knife then it would be tough to go wrong.

I do like the Case offering but chrome steel and synthetic scales turn me off to the idea of an authentic "Gentleman's Pocket Knife".

Worst you could do is check it out. Absolutely love mine for any situation involving business or a modest crowd. Best way I can tell you that "I think it's worth the money" is if it were ever to be lost or passed along to my younger set then sure...I'd probably do some Internet dream shopping but 99% says I purchase that same blade again . Quick pic to follow and then another as a different example for EDC carry option

This is what I carry day in and day out alternating with whatever I'm wearing. Slave to fashion and all that crap... Ignore the purple shadow line

The Case knives use old school non-stainless blades, and will require more maintenance than modern powdered metal SS blades. The Moki is kinda small and only has AUS-8 steel (I read somewhere that AUS-8 will actually get dull in the presence of oxygen). The Boker has the best balance of modern VG-10 blade, titanium framelock design, and outstanding looks----when you pull that knife out, people will be impressed.

Mako, those Boker Tree Brand knives are intriguing. I don't think I'll buy one to gift this time around, but I'm pretty sure one will end up in my pocket sooner rather than later.
Beautiful fixed blades too, who makes em? I actually considered going the fixed route as well, as I love the looks if the BHK Frontier First.

The Case Copperlock is a good choice but the lock is not strong. The Trapperlocks are stronger, but do have some blade play. The biggest problem with these is not blade play but the detent. Sometimes they do not hold the blade in well and have to be returned for repair. I have three and my favorite is the Chestnut Bone CV.

My suit knife/gent knife is an Mcusta Tsuchi, small, MCU113D. It's beautiful, and I mean absolutely stunning. 33-layer nickel Damascus with a VG-10 core, blued pivot and thumb stud, and hammer dimples on the handle that carry onto the blade. The pure embodiment of Japanese elegance. I picked mine up for about 80-90 dollars. It was kind of a while ago, so I don't remember the exact price and it could have changed since then, but if you don't mind going slightly above $75, it's definitely something worth looking into.

In this category and price range, I really like the Boker Plus Damascus Gent I/II folders. I have the Gent I, and think the Gent II is just a little smaller. Not what I would call heavy duty, but what I imagine a "Gentleman's Folder" to be. Good looking, sharp, light and easy to carry. My sample was razor sharp out of the box and did not need any touch ups.
