Ok so figured out i want a Gentlemans knife for edc that can be used for tactical use if needed. Like the Spyderco centofante3. Like the smooth grips 40-90$

I've got a Spyderco Caly 3 that I would consider more of a subdued EDC. It's got a nice smooth CF grip. If you dug around a bit it can be had at your high limit.

Buck Lux would be worth a look, or maybe one of their Vantage. Several models of each so you can control your price point some.

The Japaneese made Kershaw 1993-1 'Gentleman's Folder' is a great example - VG10 blade and all. The knife has been out of production for a while. The forum's 'Kershaw Guy' did have some left - some without the leather sheath, which really is useless, anyway. It's within your price range. The new Benchmade 480-1 Shoki is currently available - but pricey. It has an m390 steel blade & cf scales - and includes a leather sheath with an easily removed clip for 'in the pocket' carry. I got mine locally last summer 'on sale' - $129, same as the original 480 Shoki. It was a deal. Both are great 'Gent's' knives.

+3 on the Chaparral. A little over your budget, but well worth the extra.

If you can find one, get a Kershaw Wild Wild Turkey. Titanium scales with ats-34 blade = very light slim and slicey. :D

The Chaparral is a great knife. If you want something more traditional looking, check out some of the Moki knives. Prices very, but some are less expensive.
If you want a linerlock, take a look at Mcusta. I have the Take, but the Gentlemen's knife costs less and should be similar. The Staminawood is very nice, and you can also get Cocobolo or Micarta.

If you like the Centofante 3 then there is no reason not to get one - they are excellent knives.

take a look at the chive. i wear a suit everyday at work i carry a ss version in my pocket along with my keys. there is a bigger version if the chive is small for your taste.
