Looking for a cool "gent's knife" to carry at the proper times. =)
Don't really wanna spend more than around $150, $200 if I really like it a lot. I'm really looking for anything here. Any ideas are welcome. =) Manufacturers, custom makers(not likely, I know), anything. I'd LOVE to find something with Ironwood, but at this price range, it's probably not likely, I know. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

if I were to pick a gent knife it would probably from the BM 770 series or Kershaw Leek/Chive, although New Graham just recently put up limited edition rainbow-anodized benchmites. :D

Right now, if I were looking for a gent's knife, I would be looking seriously at the William Henry B3-FT. It retails for $250.00, but it is close enough to your top price limit to give it some consideration.

I recently saw a Benchmade Limited Edition 330D2. Looks like a nice gentlemans knife. Heritage can fix you up.

Another vote for the Spyderco Kiwi, three versions available, see attached photo.

All stainless - nice litte gent's folder, can be had for < $50. A tad slim, but some folks like 'em that way.

Jigged bone - very nice "factory upgrade" on the Kiwi. Fit and finish is really nice, can be had for < $100

Santa Fe Stoneworks custom - mine is in Malachite, they will do one for you in MOP or any stone they work with for $160, or in dinosaur bone for $200. This one will get you ooohs! and aaahs! instead of eeeeks! in a politically correct office. :D

If I still lived in California, the WH Spryte would definitely be on my shopping list.

yes a Laguiole would make a fine gentleman's knife, or in the same nice style, this particular "Camarguais" lock back knife, like this one:

the sandvick steel (12c27) blade is 4 3/4 in. long, OAL is about 10 in., handle is in noble "bruyere wood" (I don't know the proper english denomination for this wood), the quality of such knife is great, and price should be around $60.

I find the Buck Mayo (in my pocket right now) to be sorta like a gentlemen's knife. No wood tho'.

Several fine Gentleman's Knives come to mind:

Anything by William Henry (Many can be had for under $200.00)
A. G. Russell/Benchmade Gent's Knife
Benchmade 850
Al Mar Classic Hawk
Klotzli's/A. G. Russell Gent Knife
Benchmade 770 Series

But if you want the ultimate Gent knife throw in an extra $100.00 and get a Chris Reeve Mnandi. It would be well worth the money and may be the last Gent knife you ever buy. They are perfect for this application. I've got two and love them.

I'm liking my Lone Wolf City Knife pretty well as an everyday carry. That modified Warncliffe blade sure does the job.

Check out the Moki Glory. It has Quince scales and stainless steel bolsters, blade about 2.5" of polished AUS8. It is hard to find in the US, but do a search on the web (at least 1 German site has it).

Very similar styles are often available through AG Russel.

The Benchmade 450BC is still available some places. It's a fine Terzuola design with a boron carbide coated 154CM blade. Small, friendly knife, but a good design. It has a little chain and clip which works quite well and is very unobtrusive.

ON IMPULSE>>>>>
I just purchased a gents knife today from the knife outlet...It is a XIKAR Elan Gents knife with abolone insert. for $ 55.00 Its aus-8 steel and looks good. I think it has a 1.75 inch blade about 4 inches overall (( I have short term memory loss... what can I say )) LOL...
It looks real good in the pics... look up thier site and look under the november sales...

Another good choice for a gents knife would be a Moki Silver Feather.

Another vote for the Kiwi.If you have 200.00 to spend then go for the Dino bone.
