I'm not known for a high polish on my knives, but sometimes a set of materials and a profile are begging for a bit more effort. This is one of those times:

Water Buffalo horn handle with dove gray spacers, brass pins. Blade finished by hand to 800 grit and buffed out -

.095 15N20 steel. Heat treating includes a differential temper. Convex saber grind with a fine edge honed on- this means a traditional V edge, which I think is most comfortable for many hunters. This steel can get ridiculously sharp if you take a bit of time, and holds an edge well.

Overall the knife is 7.5 inches long with a blade length of 3.5 inches. This is designed around my teen and young adult years hunting quail, dove, rabbits, and gobblers. It's dressy and very functional.

Sheath is a full flap style rig with a stud closure. Waterformed and double needle hand stitched, with a belt loop that will take a wide equipment belt as well as a regular pants belt. Koyote Girl made.

The maker's mark on this is a freehand etch using beeswax and acid. I've switched over mostly to stamping at this point.

SOLD Asking $165, US shipping is included. Paypal, money order, checks all okay.

thanks much for looking.

I still have this knife. But, hey- bird season is just about here. SO back up to the top.

I keep coming back to the horn handle and that nice clip point. A great little Bird & Trout if ever there were one.

I'll take it. This doesn't mean you're off the hook for my other projects though. ;)

Paypal sent while my wife was in the other room....
