I made this little knife some time ago and posted it here back in 2012. I thought it needed some professional treatment, so I asked Coop to do what he does. And he did it well, as per usual! Thanks Jim, your the best!

This little Bowie is hand forged 1084 with a clay quenched Hamon. Mild Steel file worked guard. Two tone stained premium curly maple scalloped handle with fine silver wire inlay and silver domed pin. The sheath is Basswood lined, tooled and stained veg tanned leather with a stained and polished whitetail deer antler shield. Fun project and one of my favorites. Would like to hear any critiques.

It's new home is with appreciative collector and friend out West.

I can see why it's one of your favorites. Nice little blade and carefully crafted details displayed well by Coop. Worth seeing again!

Just lovely. When I first saw this posted on Facebook I immediately set out to discover whether it was available. Sadly for me - and happily for the owner - it wasn't..

That basic design with about a 7" blade would suit me very well indeed, though. :)

That's a wonderful little Bowie with some of the finest wire inlay work I've ever seen.....absolutely seamless and flawless.....yes, it's mine. [emoji106]

Thank you so much, Sir, and sorry I didn't get it posted myself....it is a phenomenal piece of work. [emoji41]

Great score, Dudley. That is seriously cute! A great tribute to the classic ABS style.

Wow.

Just, wow.

I've always loved that style, and holy cow did you nail it, Steve.

An exceptional Vest Bowie and sheath Steve in both beauty and execution.
Congrats Dudley, you've got you a fine piece there.

Wait a minute. Moran knives are supposed to be UGLY right? (You KNOW I'm kidding, but you KNOW you have seen an ugly Moran-styled knife.) ;)

This one speaks to everyone. That little cutlass blade just says "Use me!"

One fine knife + two fine men = 10. Huh? More than the sum of it's parts!

Thanks, Steve!

Coop

I bet I could have guessed this was going to Dudley. :)
Sweet little Bowie that looks great and I really like it.
Great work, Steve !
