Genuine Stag done right by GEC

BTW, what is the TIW I have been seeing?

Thanks.

It's Titusville Iron Works, Kevin.

Jake, that's a fabulous knife! I had my eye on that exact one too, but the bail and price tag held me back. I'm glad you got it and hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Very cool, old school looking stag!

Great knife and awesome looking stag! I love bails on knives. Nice stag ones are very hard to find with bails - don't ya go wreckin' that one!!! Of course I know they are not for everyone, so I hear ya. :p

It's gonna go in my pocket "as is" for the time being. ...but it'll be easier to throw without a bail. :p

that's not me in the photo.

I got the knife today and I'm really impressed with the fit and finish. Although the grinds on GEC blades are usually pretty good compared to other brands of production knives, GEC has out done themselves on this knife. The clip blade is from normal stock thickness but the tip was ground to an amazingly fine point. The edge has a small bevel but it doesn't need much because of the grind. Very nice, sharp swedges also. The pull on both blades is about a 4 out of 10 (5 being perfect to me). No g a p s. The stag is well fitted flush with the bolsters and well rounded. Feels great in the hand and would be even better without the bail. But the bail doesn't bother me as much as it does on my Dog Paw Conductor. Maybe it's due to the different proportions. Also the bail on the White Owl moves more freely and the edges are a little more rounded. I haven't tried throwing it yet. ;)

Jake, they are usually at the bottom of the tube. I haven't checked any lately though.

I bet GEC would send you one if you called :)

Your welcome Jake. If its not there and GEC won't send you one I can put one of mine in the mail to you if you would like.
