I figured. Got it on Ebay for 15 bucks. It shipped from Bulgaria. Steel is 5Cr13. I'll just beat it up for everyday. LOL

Enjoy using your counterfeit knife. I'm sure the people who made it will enjoy the money you gave them for ripping off Benchmade.

Don't support clones. They arnt worth it. Plus you can use your real Benchmades for work.

You can't trust that the steel is 5Cr13...it's a knock off, it could be anything.

Its a knock off. It doesn't matter if the steel is what it says it is. It's still theft.

D Dafudda , nothing personal. The issue of knock off is taken quite seriously around here. Not a "LOL" thing.

Knockoffs steal money from the companies they knock off. And the owners and employees of those companies are very often people we know here. It's not a "victimless" crime...it is taking the hard work of people we know and using it for a quick profit without their permission.

Welcome to the forums Dafudda. As Marcinek and others have pointed out, counterfeits and knowing buying counterfeits is frowned upon around here.

Did the ebay poster say it was an original Benchmade? If he or she did, I might file a complaint with ebay that someone is passing of counterfeits as the real thing. It's your $15 tho.

What I have you quoted up top as saying, I wholeheartedly agree with, unfortunately it contradicts your previous posts in other threads. If you support China when other options are available, you are supporting the same knock offs like the OP’s fine example.

What happened to its a global economy like you were saying here?

china regularly steals proprietary information or reverse engineers and then markets said product. Or in this case just use the Makers mark on a horribly done counterfeit. If you support one you support them all, including the the knock offs. Often times they come from the same factories. Knock offs are theft plain and simple. Your view on knives seems conflicted to say the least.

I also think you should read this as well,

as I have seen you on here “less then nice” towards newer members.

Have a nice evening.

Where did he mention China? Knock offs and counterfeits hurt legit companies no matter where they come from. Legit manufacturers have stuff made in China.

China is not the issue. Counterfeiters are.

Not all Chinese manufacturers make clones and knock offs.
I support the ones who do not, and don't support the ones that do.

As for what you feel about my demeanor, I know you are a new member, but we have been asked repeatedly to talk about knives, not members.

You are deeply confused about what is being said and what was said in those links.

The operative phrase he used was global economy in the previous post. M marcinek seems to contradict that sentiment in this post,
