Many of the design features of this knife sheath combination were influenced by George Catlin.
His paintings from the 1830's give us a small view of what life was like for the western Indian tribes of that time period.

Blade is clay hardened W2 5 3/4"

Handle is stabilized black walnut burl with copper trim

Ferrule is forged wrought iron, catlinite and copper, with black fiber spacers

Overall length is 11 inches

Sheath was stamped and engraved with picture of indian praying with pipe in hand.

This knife is sold. Thanks for looking, Fred

The edge on this knife is beautiful.

There are more pics of this knife on my website in the for sale gallery.

Thanks for looking, Fred

Wow, that's beautiful!

It's a little beyond what I can spend right now.....otherwise I would love to have this one.
