I am selling this Herron 40th Anniversary knife for a friend who, unfortunately because of tough times, has had to put this knife up for sale. This beautiful knife is one of only 40 knives made by Mr. Herron in 2003 commemorating his 40th year of custom knife making. Features include: a 5" mirror polished blade made of 154CM stainless steel, stainless steel hilt, tapered tang, and ivory handle scales with color scrimshaw done by Sandra Brady. The strange thing is that all of the other Herron 40th Anniversary knives I have come across have scrimshawing done on both handle scales, where as this particular piece has only the left scale scrimshawed and the other scale is left blank. Neither my friend nor I have any definitive answer as to why this is, but perhaps this knife was one of the first ones made of the series. At any rate, this piece will become a major collector's piece in the years to come.

The knife does not have a sheath, but comes with a zippered storage pouch. Asking price is SOLD! which includes insured USPS Priority mail shipping within the USA. Payment by USPS money orders or cashier's check.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Let's try a price of $1650 shipped. My friend paid $2500 for it when he bought it from Mr. Herron in 2003. I hate to see him want to go this low, but he really needs the money :( .
