George Herron style Hunter (sold)

Hello to All, This is a pattern I have had since about the turn of the Century. Love George Herrons classic style knives. This is not an exact copy of one of his, but I think you can see the influence. I tried to build the sheath in somewhat of a classic style as well.
Hope you all like it and comments welcome.

Blade is CPM 154 .145 thick and 3.4 tip to guard. O/A is 8 in. I heat treat with cryo and double tempered.
hand finished to 2000 grit. Tang is tapered and hollow ground with 10 in wheel as is Blade.

Guard is 416 pinned and very carefully silver soldered with NO!! pin holes. I leaver the point of the guard a little thicker so it doesn't wear out the cam.

Handle is Ivory Micarta held tight with 416 corby rivets. Liners are .019 thick. Lanyard hole is brass.

Sheath is hand stitched 8-9 ounce leather built in a more traditional style than I normally do. The dye is light brown and will lighten a little more when dry. I used the Loveless cam lock idea so the knife fits very snug yet is easy to withdraw.

Thanks Jack, I think you may be on to something with the sheath. A lot of Folks dont like the fancy sheath. I may be doing more of the classic sheaths at least with the Classic style knives.
