I don't think so, it's just a heavier spring. This knife is a beast and is issued to the US military, I don't think you will need the warranty service for anything lolDoes that upgrade void warranty?

Whats your email? Ill gladly take the gerber 06.I have a Gerber 06 Automatic with a fresh spa and sharpening treatment from my local cutlery shop. It's been carried and used, blade is in excellent shape, S30V combo edge. Comes with box, papers and carry sheath. This one has the spring upgrade and fires HARD.
