GERBER BOWIE

my advise is to spend a little more and get the cold steel trailmaster in carbon v. it has a stronger point design, stronger blade, more durable handle. i've owned both, the tm is overall a beter knife. if corrosion is a problem, they do make the tm in stainless. at the time i bought mine the gerber came with a sturdier sheath, i dont know about current ones. i would reccomend getting a kydex sheath anyway. i dont mean this to be a sales pitch for the tm but having used both knives i think the tm will serve you better. if you like the looks of the gerber better that is a whole other issue. hope this helps.
