Gerber DMF Manual S30V or 7Cr17MoV ?

So on the Gerber website the knife is stated to have S30V steel, but a few seller sites and even a few Amazon reviews are claiming 7Cr17MoV
I am wondering if it was just changed to it, or if it was a mistake on the site, or what?

I would link to the site but they are not a BladeForums maker (they don't have their own sub-forums?)

I am sure you can find it - so my question is does anybody know? I'll be calling Gerber tomorrow and getting an answer my self.

Any info appreciated
 
That's why I was thinking this might be a newer version, with the older ones being the 7Cr17MoV
As it DEFINITELY says S30V on the Gerber website (easy to find in the "Apocalypse" series for some reason)
 
I just checked it out on the website. It does say S30, but nothing said about being made in America. Generally if the knife is USA made, they have a shield with the flag on it placed on the page. Could they make an S30V knife in China?
