Hey guys I purchased a Gerber Muskie fillet knife and would like to know a little more about it. I've owned numerous Gerber products and their products they've made recently have not been of good quality. The Gerber Muskie fillet knife has 1976 etched in the blade, and the older Gerber knives that I own are of good quality. I would like more information on this knife and I am having trouble finding any info on the internet. Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

I have one of these, and it didn't work as well as my other, old Gerbers in M2 or 440C. I am not sure what the steel is, but the blade seemed too flexible and soft.

Sorry so long getting back. I'm assuming it's an older gerber because of the date that's scribed in the blade but beyond that I have no clue. I'm not a fan of newer gerber products but the older knives I own are of good quality, so I'm hoping this knife was made in the seventies and is of the same quality. Should be here Friday so I'll have an update then.
