Bro---I meant on the General Forum, there has been a lot of Smack-talk about Gerber. :)

Tin Sue.....you must have missed the part where I said Gerber once made some pretty cool boot knives. Try to keep up.

Nope, just remembering your statement, "Their folders were always inferior to the 110, so why go there." Just keeping you honest!!

Its a CZ-75B. The Bren 10 purported was derived from it, at least stylistically. Link.

Sorry for the OT.

yep sorry to derail the OP's thread:o
and i'd say they borrowed heavily from the CZ... always loved the look of the bren though, now i know where they got the look:D

back on track, a little more money and a gerber freeman can be had which is a good solid knife, mine has been great... all three of my gerbers have been great actually.

Honest about what?

If I'd said anything dishonest, you could quote it, couldn't you?

Like I said, try to keep up. I might help if you would read before you wrote snide comments.

Geez Roc, let's not get testy; we've had enought of that here lately. I did quote it; go back and look at your post #5 where, once again, you state: "Their folders were always inferior to the 110, so why go there." I merely responded that the early (1970's) Gerber Folding Sportsmans I, II, and III, were, at least in my opinion, comparable (defined by Websters as "similar" or "equivalent") to the 110. You apparently choose to disagree, and that is your right to do so, and that's why I responded that was the reason that they made Fords and Chevys. Different people; different opinions. Now, much like my wife, I'll let you have the last word. :)

P.S.: I still wonder why the heck we are discussing all this in the Buck forum.

So what did I say that was dishonest? And why did you imply that I said something contradictory?

I did neither.

Again, if you'd just read and comprehend before you complain, you'd avoid stuff like this.

We are discussing this in the Buck forum because someone wanted to start an argument about Buck vs. Gerber and thought this would be a cute way to do it.

Whirled peas .... anyone know if Gerber makes Spam for babies.:D

They make some kind of "mashed" ham that can't be a whole lot different.

PS: Wow, talk about a thread hi-jack, but then what the heck is this Gerber thread doing here anyhow??

...I wonder how a Gerber knife would hold up to a SPAM can???......I hope no one will hate me for saying this but.....I LOVE SPAM! ! ! !...Okay I said it out in front of everybody...If Gerber made somethin' like SPAM I'd probably buy it but ya jus' can't beat the "original"...:p

Ok so I am going to close this thread. Mostly because I am not sure yet how to move it and am not positive of where it should be moved to.
But it started off off topic, moved to personal ticky tack, and ended up being a discussion about baby food and Spam.
I figured that before anybody insulted Spam, ( I LOVE spam too, I'm having the spam, spam, spam baked beans....well you know the bit :D )
I better end it.
Sorry for those that may have wanted to contribute more, blame it on my meager mod skills...:o
