Any reviews on the gerber gator knife 6064, drop point blade, I can get one for 24 bucks plus 4/5 bucks for shipping...is it a good deal?

In a word - yes. The drop point, 154CM Gator is a good 'go to' knife all around. GOOGLE for some reviews.

Good deal if you like the knife. They sell for $37 to $50 elsewhere plus shipping.

The Gator series is among the last Gerbers still made in the USA. The Chinese-made Gerbers I've handled are pretty much crap (Paraframe, Powerframe, Fast Draw, Evo Jr.), but the Gerber stuff made in Portland is still solid IMO. I keep a Gator in my toolbox as a beater/work blade; it locks up tight as a drum, has a seriously stout blade, and sharpens up well (but the 420HC steel doesn't hold the edge for long).

I paid $35 at a brick-and-mortar store for my vanilla 420HC Gator, so I'd say that the price is about right. If your price is for a 154CM version, that'd be a seriously good deal.

It is the 154CM Steel verson, lock blade, drop point..looked like a cool knife..i think bear gryllis used it a few times on his Man Vs. Wild show..

My friend used a Gator till the blade was pretty much a nub.
It's a good enough knife. It held up to lots of use and the lock was still solid.
Go for it!

You can buy me one for $24 plus shipping and send it to me as a "gift". I'll pay you back for it! :D
