America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!
M40 did a review of the Ontario mil spec machete vs. the Gerber Gator
At worst you have a $15 beater .

My friend did a review on it in Tactical Knives magazine and he said it was honestly one of the best machetes he had ever used. That means a lot coming from Jeff Randall!

In that case i will get it!![]()
the saw back eliminates the machetes use as a draw knife and it wont allow you to hold the spine of the blade if you are doing detail work.
if the back of a machete is covered in saw teeth, to me, that is really limiting its uses more than it is adding any. the saw back eliminates the machetes use as a draw knife and it wont allow you to hold the spine of the blade if you are doing detail work.
UMMMMM.... So when your going some where that you need a machete, you ONLY bring ONE blade, and thats the machete!

well, if you are going to be bringing more than one blade, why not just bring an actual saw and a conventional machete
didnt mean to rub you the wrong way, but you did ask for our thoughts.

I didn't mean to rub you the wrong way either, i just didn't want you dieing on me now!
It just kills 2 birds with one stone. put it this way is easyier to bring a saw/machete and a smaller knife, then a machete and a saw... plus a smaller knife will be better for carving and other small detailed work.
EDIT: plus the handle is suposed to be VERY confortable.

allright, we are back on good terms. that handle does look uber-comfy.
The Gator and a Mora would be a great piece of truck kit without having to worry about it going missing.
