The knife has a suggested retail price of $160 and the Knifecenter of the Internet is currently selling them on special for $69.95. Does anyone of you guys own one of these and if you do is it worth the special price??? (G10 handles, pocket clip, titanium liners and lock, ATS34 Steel, 4" blade.)

I know nothing about this knife but check out this site for an even better price:

I got my Gerber Airframe from them for $108 and the service was excellent.

I'm pretty sure that Tactical Knives reviewed all the Gerber Internationals within past 2-4 issues. I'll try to check that out for you. (I forget more than I remember, so please e-mail me. I usually remember to check it sometimes.)

Certainly getting ATS34 and G-10 for $57 isn't common. I believe the review was favorable. Another one of the Internationals at the link provided by mjoury has my curiosity piqued as well. Sure wish they still had Airframes at $108. Those have got to be worthy collector's items someday.

Also, I went to the Review Forum. There was an initial impression written by James Mattis. He had a couple quibbles with the finish, but others liked it a lot. Mattis didn't answer some of the questions he was asked, so can only assume this was around the time he died. I'm really sorry to have missed him. From his website, it was clear he was a man worth knowing.

Anyhow, for features, you can't go wrong.

One other thing about the site I posted earlier. I called them to enquire about the Spectre and they said they are going to carry it, just don't have it on their web site yet. I am waiting to see how that is priced since their Gerber prices seem so much lower then other sources.

Backup -- it was the September 2000 issue of TK that had the writeup. Review was done by Chuck Karwan, who's some variety of engineer. He liked the Walker folder quite a bit. Didn't notice that you'd already listed the features in your original post, so got excited when I re-discovered the titanium liners.

Reading the article, was reminded that I'd been impressed with the Walker, and also with the SLGs. Boy, to get ATS34, carbon fibre, and titanium liners for $47 has me panting a bit. I really like the sleek looks of the SLGs.

So, to both you and mjoury, thanks very much for the post and the link. Wish the outfit carried more knives, with the prices they have for the Gerbers. Would instantly become my favorite web seller.
