Gerber is Back!

Once you loose the consumer, it takes a long time to regain their confidence for the brand.

It seems obvious to me that Gerber is trying to get back into the game. A lot of knife companies have had years when quality was poor, even Case and Buck. I would think people who buy their new higher end products, made with S30V and etc., should give them a fair work out and then report back to this forum what they have found. I am certain Gerber would be interested in the feed back. Perhaps they will listen.

Even Case today is still hit and miss.
I like them though.
And they didn't sell out. They "used" names that are relevant to knife-guys.
Johnny Cash
John Deere
Harley Davidson
Zippo
Etc.
And they're still made in USA. All of them.
Gerber is just grasping at straws seeing how people are realizing how bad they are.
That Bear Grylls junk is enough to turn me away.
I can tell you right now, if I had to "survive" I would spend more than $30 on a knife.

Unless you are a 8 or 12 year old kid and $30 is all they have. There is always a market for the low end knives.

Man, I just saw that little factory tour video on page 1.

I don't think I saw them sharpening a single plain edge blade.
