Only been used a couple times. Excellent shape, a few light scratches on the blade (see pictures) I have two sheaths, one foliage green the other is black. The green sheath is just how it comes from the factory. The black sheath I cut off one of the button straps for a quicker release as both snaps are not needed to keep the knife in place the sheath has great retention (see pictures). Both sheaths have built in knife sharpeners and I also have the leg straps. This is an excellent knife but I would get more use out of a blade more suited for wood processing. No chips in blade edge, very sharp. 5" blade, 11" overall.

Looking for: Ka-bar heavy bowie, Ontario SP48 or SP50, Kershaw antelope hunter, ESEE/RAT 3, or any good quality large blade preferably with an 8-10" blade. we Can +/- money to work out a fair trade.

*suggestion* In my opinion, the LMF 2 is more suited for wood processing than the Kabar. Don't get me wrong, Kabar makes excellent knives, but they are more suited for fighting and utility work. They usually have a stick tang, and, I believe, are only edge tempered. This is good for chopping, but I've heard horror stories about people bending and breaking their Kabars while
batoning wood. However, with the Gerber: the black paint on the blade, and the rubber coating on the guard have a tendency to rub off with
heavy use; this is only a cosmetic issue, but it would still bug me.

Anyway, that's just my two cents. Have a good one.

I appreciate the above info however the Gerber's blade is way to short to baton through large logs.
