Gerber Model 525

I am trying to find out more info on a Gerber Model 525. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I am just looking for general knowledge, like when it was made, and how.

I'm bad with model numbers. What does it look like?

It is a solid blade. Wood handle with finger grips molded into the wood. The knife is 10 inches long.
