I picked up one of these used today and thought I would share it. I didn't know Gerber made such a thing. It has a body like a multi-tool frame, but fatter-- an inch wide and 7/7" deep and 3-3/8" long.
There is an amber LED in the black plastic housing that forms a cover for the tools and that housing has a small compartment with an eyeglass-sized screwdriver and a pair of tweezers in it. The compartment is large enough to hold a couple pre-tied fishing leaders and spit shot if you have the inkling. You can pop that housing out of the frame if you want too. The battery is under the rubber switch button, so it can be replaced (or dried) without tools.
This is an older model that has two knife blades-- one plain edge and one serrated. The newer ones have one plain blade and a saw blade mount that will take universal tang saber saw blades. Other tools include a pair of Fiskars scissors, flat blade and Phillips screwdrivers, awl with sewing eye, and can opener. All the tools lock with a sliding lock that has jimped finger releases on both sides. The fit and finish is identical to the Gerber 400/600 series multi-tools and appears to be the same grade stainless steel. Weight is a very acceptable 4.1 ounces.
Survival-wise, it's a very useable tool. I'm got to have to get one with saw now. I would add a lanyard ring, but there are two holes in the end that would take a chain or paracord. I'll do my usual survival lanyard with compass, firesteel, and whistle.
