Made out of one solid piece of black oxide coated 420HC High Carbon Steel, the Prodigy by Gerber is one heck of a robust knife. A 4 3/4" long blade is very manageable for precise applications and is 5mm thick with a partial serrated section.
It has a minimalist design featuring an ergonomic soft grip rubber overmolded handle with an integrated front guard and an exposed glass breaker pommel.
The MOLLE compatible sheath it comes with has a friction release thumb lock and enough versatility for almost any mounting orientation. It also features non-detection features, is MIRS compliant (Management of Infrared Signature) and is noise dampened.
