Gerber stoops even LOWER.

My god, I have to register @ zombiehunters in order to read a thread. You're right--Gerber's really done it this time! :D

Why don't you copy the text here so we don't all have to make accounts for some forum we don't intend to return to.

Too-right. Sorry, didnt realize you had to register to view.

"Gerber is an evil company i have begun to boycot them  "

There's some differences in the blade, smallish ones. But I actually like Gerber's blade design better. Of course, the overall desgin by CRKT was never attractive to me in the first place and neither is the Gerber.

There is NO design on the part of Gerber whatsoever.

Look at the point, the midline and the drop. The Gerber drops more, the midline doesn't even come to the point. The CRKT's point is at the midline of the knife; it does not have a swedge as the Gerber does.

So yes, the blade was designed differently.

That's not really design, that's just trying to make the knife look different enough so as not to be a patent or copyright infringment.

yea.

I havent gone near their knives for a while...but i WAS cosnidering buying one of their multi-tools. No more.

I bought one of the small Gerber Evo's last summer. It felt like it had sand in it. I took it apart to clean and oil it and the knife had rough places inside around the pivot. I guess the aluminum is very soft or it was damaged when it was made. I started to try to stone it to smooth it out but came to my senses. I gave it away to someone that didn't need a knife.

Don't blame Gerber. That company doesnt exist. It is Fiskars now- so I wouldn't stoop to buy their other products either.

I work at a knife store now and alot of people still think gerbers the ole gerber and still look for the name. There in for a suprise when I tell them otherwise but some still dont listen........oh well, old habits die hard.
