Gerber Truss 2.0, what is it a copy of?

From what i understand, many of the current Gerber knives are......ahem....."inspired" by other knife makers designs, just out of curiosity, is the Truss 2.0 an original Gerber design, or is it "borrowed" from another manufacturer?
