I picked up a Gerber EZ-Out Utility (that's the serrated sheepsfoot) today. I was at Lowes and they had about a half dozen of them on the discount table in the Tool Crib, with with big orange

stickers. $10 bucks, down from $30. (I think MSRP is more like $40 or $50? Dunno.)

I wrote up a first impression review over in Knife Reviews & Testing, if anyone wants to read it. For $10, if anyone needs a straight-edged serrated folder, I'd jump on it. It's even made in the USA.

I have an old E-Z Out that I bought probably 10 years ago. It's taken a beating, and is still going strong. Not a bad little folder, all things considered.

Peace.

Scott, the next time I get out there, I'll pick you up 2 if they have them, but it might be a couple days so I wouldn't count on them still being there.

That's a great knife. I have had one for years and found it excellent.

Also, I know I paid at least $25 ten years ago.

Good for you.

I hear you, puukkoman. My favorite EDC is a 6-year old partially serrated E-Z Out. I bought another in '03 but it was skeletonized, and just wasn't the same as the older one. I wish Gerber would go back to the old design.

Thanks Nick,
If it works out let me know!

Cheers,
Scott
