well i was wondering if they are the same i have the Gerber sport axe and it says Fiskars on the top of the handle but it has Gerber on it too.
If they are different is one better?

As far as I can tell they are identical except for the labelling and price tag.

Gerber also has a version where a saw rides inside the handle. AFAIK Fiskars has no comparable model. Otherwise the Gerber axes are available cheaper as Fiskars (and often more readily available from garden stores also.)

Whats the popular length around here? Looks like fiskars has a lot more handle length options. Does the initial edge chipping also a problem on the gerber as well. Anybody have some input on initial sharpening/ grinding?
