Just out of curiousity, what Gerber knife do you own?

I would have to say that you own few knives.

By the way I do own a gerber covert, and I really like the design, but find the action stiff, and wobbly.

My Mark IIs are the only Gerber's I own.

Well, I lied, have a multiplyer or two left over from my Army days.

Mark IIs are great collectables, but Gerber makes knives for those who neither use or cherish their blades. Just my two bits, and as always, all other opinions are valid. Just not according to me.

actually I think gerber is good but apparently everyone else hates it but I think that I am entitled to my own opinions
oh well
thanks everybody
by the way i do own very few knives but that is changing and I'm sure that their are alot of other knives better than gerber
but for now i like them the best sorry!

Well Killer, if you like Gerber, then you will like this story. I happen to own two of the best fixed blade knives ever made by Gerber. They are the Model 525 hunter with countoured finger groove, polished wood handles that fit the hand like a glove and 6 inch Stellite 6K blade. They sold for $500 in 1996. I have used one around the house for many chores and the edge has yet to dull. This stuff holds an edge like no other material I have ever seen.

So killer, if you want a Gerber that nobody can best, try to find one of these if you can. I have no idea what they are worth, but I'm sure the value has not gone up much since then.

I go away for a couple of days and you start talking about factory knives again. Shame on you.

Killer, your knife would be better discussed in the Collectors Corner. Gerber is not a custom knife.
