German Folding Hunters/Utilities

Great-looking knives. Surprising how many of these German knives feature a corkscrew.

That's a great observation Jack. The cheaper German wine bottles are mostly screw top, but the more expensive ones still close with a cork (Riesling etc..).
I think hunters like a little wine or stronger while on the prowl and enjoy their beer when they've bagged their prey.

Always happy to show off the Weidmannsheil, the modern little Hartkopf is still sold as a hunter's knife.

Not sure if this qualifies...

i was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it was possible to pick up a hubertus professional(seen in another thread) stateside or if you'd have to contact european dealers? it's a three "blade" working type knife with a long spear, short stout screwdriver/electrical stripper, and one of the sweetest awls i've looked at in a while.
thanks, Neal
not trying to hi-jack anything-these are some beautiful knives being shown!

I have been having zero luck trying to find out exactly what AG Russell called this model. Any help? I have been reading too much Matt Helm lately and like the idea of getting something on this pattern.

Thanks,
Danny

Here's a modern interpretation by AG Russell.

Revolvergeek, I think it was called a Cattaragus, but do not remember the item number. A VERY good friend of mine gave me one of the first ones AG made of this model, but it has stag scales, like the one Matt would have carried. John
