Supposedly everything at this sale had been in storage for 20 years prior to the sale. My guess is that these were almost new 20 years ago. I gave $6 apiece for the pair.

Well, being honest; I haven´t seen a hatchet named "strong boy" in Germany.
But I have seen hatchets like this from the austrian companies "Stubai" and "Müller". They are sold here as carpenters tools. The wedge in that one is for removing nails from wood.
I have found another old hatchet from "Stubai" in my greatgranddad´s workingshag. I gonna post a thread for it.
But yours are very fine tools! Great find!
