I will not do this again, got my thumb caught between the fly cutter and the blade in the vice.

I thought it had ripped the end of my thumb off. *&X#^%%

Very stupid, I was going and try to do a gap check with a piece of paper and reset the mill.
I had change something and did not lock it down and was going to have to reset for the final depth cut.
I thought know way it would hit me?
And all I need it to do is just touch the paper and shut down.

Talk about learning the hard way it sure is PAINFUL!!!

Thanks for the well wish's.

Later.

Todd

Not the way to go for sure, and having had a couple of bad ones myself I'm sorry to see these accidents happen to anyone else. I hope the pain is soon gone and the healing time is short. Frank

That split second of thinking no way will this hit me with a question mark was the
culprit, just glad it wasn't worse. Last winter pushing too hard without a push stick
I split a thumb that was like a rotten strawberry for a couple of weeks.
Ken.

What ever you do DO NOT DIP IT IN ACETONE im serious . My last cut 5 stitches thank god for my lucky rabbits foot that I have now hung in my shop havent done that . Even though I did shove my finger into a router just prior to my last cut. Thank god you still can hitch hike . kellyw

Please dont ruin your didgets. Im hoping to one day own one of your knives and have been since seeing one on another forum years ago.

That nail may come off soon. Keep it clean, having an infection under the nail is nasty and will probably result in doctors poking hot needles into them.
