so whats the best handle option in your opinion? im partial to the fancy stuff myself. but whats everybody eles into?

Smoothed or quilted bead-blasted Micarta where applicable.

My main thing is avoiding the patterns that can appear as the handle material is shaped, so I always go with Micarta now-paper for looks, canvas for grip. The quilted machining is nice and subtle without producing such crazy patterning, even in G10 with layers in alternating colors. For times when quilted isn't available, I'll stick to smoothed just to be on the safe side.

I love some of the fancy stuff too.... especially anything with desert iron wood. G10 mostly though and I also love canvas micarta. Pumpkin, blk/tan and blk/green G10 are my favorite G10's from Busse. Say what you will about G10 being rough and peep's complaining about it, but I'll pay more and take G10 over RES-C any day. It will look the same and be as durable when my unborn grand-children receive my knives. If your skinning game or sweat and blood are involved, then canvas micarta is supreme. For vanity and pure durability-nothing like G10. G10 is stronger then many steels.

I'm very partial to tan canvas for the most part, if I can't have Sandstorm to match my pistol grips. (Those are fantastic!)

But I have to say that I do have an eye for the fancier stuff, too.

I love the g-rexed handles from the custom shop, it really feels good in the hand, and stabilized wood and bone. Heck, they all feel good! That's for the better stuff that I am more conscious of. For users, it's canvas micarta or g10. But then that covers all the materials busse uses right? So I can't say I have a one favorite. Depends on the mood I guess, for me. If I had to pick one, it would be black canvas micarta for absolute toughness.
