Get rid of Yahoo search box on task bar?

I want to give Kudos to Richard J who called me and did some searching on Hp's website and gave me some hints as to what to look for, Compaq hid the program under a name of HP help adviser. Once I removed that program and rebooted the Yahoo search bar was gone. Thanks Richard for going the extra mile and I appreciate each and everyone of you that had suggestions as I used them all.

WHOHOOO Yahoo a thing of the past, at least on that computer.

Well I was going to say --- it you have a real sharp peanut you could cut that portion of the screen out and then you could get rid of that electricians tape. I pretty sure that will work. Hey and then you could post in that one thread that asks what did you use your knife for today?
