Thank you so much for starting this thread!

The BK5 is my very favorite Becker; it's such a great outdoorsman's knife' followed closely behind by it's little cousin, the BK15.

Your thread will display the genre' of the BK5. Amongst the Becker range, the BK2 and 9 get all the glory,and of course I enjoy mine - but the BK5 is my favorite.

Those posts really look better than any other hardware I've ever seen. Well done! I read your post about drilling them. I wonder if a Dremel with a small grinding wheel would work to enlarge the holes?

Hah, now you tell me! What actually happened was the back hole I drilled first and it was like butter so I kept with it. The front hole was the hardest. My OCD prob kept me from thinking of doing it by hand with a dremmel lol.
If I ever try it again I'll def give that a shot. I came across some burlap ribbon on clearance at Wally World. It has a neat orange design printed on it. I'll try my hand at some mycarta soon.
