Folks,
The Parker's Greatest Knife Show on Earth is coming up December 6-9 in Sevierville, Tennessee. It used to be held at the Grand Hotel in Pigeon Forge, TN twice a year. Now it's only being held once and has moved venues. I usually try to go and was considering staying at least one night and maybe taking the family for a "mini vacation". I've been driving down and back (usually alone), 6 hours round trip in a day and that takes a lot of the fun out of it . If any of you Hogs, Rats, Dogs, or other knife nuts are planning to go let me know. I've thought of renting a cabin something with a fireplace and an outdoor fire ring. I was hoping we could get together to socialize, talk knives, and put them to good use. Blade was a blast. I'd love to put more names and faces together. Also, it'd give my wife a chance to see that I'm not the only gun/knife nut and other knife/gun nuts have "normal" families also. She said she didn't want to go to Blade, because she wouldn't "know anyone". I'm trying to make Blade '08 a family vacation
Pm or email me with any questions.
Thanks,
GregB
P.S. I did buy a straight handled 5/16" SH at the show once, so even though it isn't Blade, hope springs eternal.
