Get together!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be doing some late season fishing and hunting before college hits full swing, and I am up in the fridged north
 
OK, Sally said no matter what, she will do whatever it takes to make it to the get together . . . .and that might mean borrowing someone's couch or recliner for her normal "afternoon siesta" . . .
So if Gnarly can't make it up to Ohio or over to Tenn., or parts in between, then here's my opinion, and I repeat, it is strictly my opinion. Please don't take offense, I don't want to step on any toes, hurt anybody's feelings, but this is how I was raised. This forum is waaaaaay past just being a "forum" . . . It's more like an adopted family of brothes and sisters scattered all over parts of God's green earth. And in my family when we plan something, we plan it so EVERYONE can make it . . . . I would not feel right having the "First Annual BA/KFU Get Together" if one of the first "brothers" could not make it. It just wouldn't seem right. Maybe I'm wrong, sure have been a few times in 59 years, but this is a "family" and a family works things out . . . . and besides, I have a feeling that "Gnarly" is not as gnarly as he pretends to be with his carefully worded posts and his 4th grade vocabulary . . . . and I want to see for myself . . . ;)
So let's get this thing planned before we need hand warmers and parkas and the damn grill work light because the propane gas is froze solid. Gnarly, you are a brother to us all buddy, and to me, it just wouldn't be the same without you there . . . . :thumbup:
Sorry if I offended anyone with this, sorry if it comes off as a selfish gesture, or if it sounds like if I can not be quarterback I am going to take my football and go home . . . . . it's just the way I was raised, and I think for the very first one, we ALL need to be there to raise one to BA & to KFU for what they have accomplished with this forum is such a short time . . . .

I hear you J1M, wouldn't be right without Gnarly. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have found this forum.
 
I am fed up with missing out,because of work.

I have sick time I'll never use.

And I know a dozen MD's who will write me an excuse off work.

I feel a twinge in my lower back.

Alright, lets set a place. This is going to be the hardest part obviously. I don't have the room or land to house everyone and I don't think there is a hotel 100 miles from Bills place :) How about we do something at a campground in a central location. That way if people want to spend the night they will have the option of doing so in the woods or at a nearby hotel. Im open to anything I just need to set a timeframe so I can get off work. If TN is good I can make arrangements at one of the plentiful campsites in the Smokies. A hotel would be less than 20 minutes from any of them. If you guys have anything around your area post it up. It doesn't need to be fancy, just somewhere we can let loooooooooooooooose for awhile.
 
I've got plenty of space to set up tents or hammocks - there's even a casino and a dirt track within 5 miles of the place - and a pond full of sunfish......
but I doubt many of you all want to drive this far.
