Get your Perrin G10 La Griffes here!

Wow, we're getting there fast. I believe we're now somewhere in the vicinity of 40+ pieces spoken for, give or take a couple. At this rate we'll have all 50 spoken for by the end of this weekend. Cool. Fred is going to be very busy, very soon.

I wasn't going to order till I remembered my usual vacation MO: Have steak the first night out and "borrow" the knife for carry. I even bring my own IWB sheath. How tacky. So I just ordered two G-10 Griffes so my wife doesn't have to make me return the steak knife on the way to the airport. Better hurry...tick..tick...

Hi guys. Just a quick update; The cut-off date (1-13-01) for ordering The Perrin G10's has come and gone. I spoke to Larry and he's going to take a final order count on Monday, and tell Fred Perrin to start making all of our Griffes. Larry is going to get back to me with the final count numbers on Monday afternoon, so expect another update from me Monday evening.
If for some reason you didn't get in on this deal but still want to, I'd try calling Bladeart first thing Monday morning to see if they'll accept any last minute orders. I'm not saying that they will; I'm merely making a suggestion so that everyone who wants one gets one.
Anyway, we'll be taking possession of our Fred Perrin Sterile Stealth G10 La Griffes just as soon as Fred cranks them out. Larry tells me that this will probably be towards the first part of February. Remember, Fred makes these entirely by hand AND Fred lives in France, so we'll have to be patient while these are being made and shipped. Damn,...I can't wait to get mine. I'm terrible at being patient when it comes to waiting for a blade that I really want.

Larry from Bladeart was kind enough to drop into our Tac-chat last night, and he informs us that the final count for the G10 Griffes was 45, and that he is ordering 5 additionals. Needless to say, Fred will be very busy making these for us, and Sniper308 mentioned that he can "feel" his G10 Griffe already being made for him by Fred....which only makes sense; Fred is "practicing" on Sniper's Griffe so that mine will be perfect.

Anyway, Fred needs a few weeks to get all of our Griffes made and shipped here to the states, but I'll be sure to let everyone know just as soon as they hit shore near Bladeart.
Thanks very much to everyone who participated in this venture. It was alot of fun, brought many good people together, and allowed all of us to purchase a very cool covert handmade Perrin quite inexpensively.
Hmmmm,..what should we buy next?

Yoohoo, Larry......

Eric: I now have the "feeling" that mine is finished to perfection! Hopefully he doesn't get bored making the same ol knife and get a little bit sloppy with yours!

Chat last night was a great success! Enjoyed talking with everyone that came in. Time flew!

One last thing. My feeling is that my LaGriff will arrive in a "crush proof" box!

Don, it's guys like you who make the Tac-chat such fun.

Hope to see you there tonight.
BTW,....you're right...I'll bet Fred is going to be pretty tired around #40 or so. But maybe he'll start getting double-vision and produce a few Griffes with blades on each end, in which case I'll take one of those as well!
I just don't want any that end up with handles on each end and no blade at all.
