9001, One problem though. If you through IDENTICAL rocks with the the same force at the same time, then the rocks will hit at the same time...thus no conclusive winner can be determined. PROOF: Y(final) = Y(initial) + (initial vertical speed)(time) + .5(-9.8)(time)^2 Of course using different rocks would cause them to hit at different times due to the different air flow around the rock.
