geting in to Traditional knives recommend me a sodbuster and a penut

yeah i think i settled on that one too let me know how you like it

Got it today and just opened it... outstanding, as expected. It's a pretty big knife and is quite comfortable in the hand. Fit and finish is perfect; it's tight and stays open firmly; and about as sharp as can be expected... no touch-up necessary on this one. I think you'll be pleased if you choose it.

A. G. Russell. Legendary quality, iron-clad guarantee and they're about the same price as the Case Sodbuster. His versions are called the "Rancher" which has a 3" blade and the "Cowboy" which has a 3-5/8" blade. Both are offered in yellow Delrin and black Rucarta. If you have the means, his version, the "Pinched Peanut" which is available in several choices of handle scale is a cut above (pardon the pun). While they are considerably more expensive than Case peanuts (with perhaps the exception of the Case Thomas Raindrop damascus 'nut, which is sold out and near impossible to find), the construction is more robust, the blades are (IMO) better executed (nice crisp swedge, VG-10 stainless) with excellent fit and finish throughout. One of my favorite features of AGR's peanut is that the secondary blade is a wharncliffe instead of a pen.:)
