Yes, I've been wondering about that for years, even thought it might have been a mistake as most of the others I've seen have their shield on the usual side.

IIRC the late Bob Andrews did an sfo on a fixed blade with the shield on that side.

Dark Chestnut Jigged Bone from the recent run of GEC 66s. This was the SFO from SMKW.
I'm normally more of a fan of random jigging, but the uniform diagonal jigging on this one is very pleasing, I think. The propeller shield just caps it off!
