100+year old jack knife from Bayonne Knife Co. Jigging isn't very deep in texture , more mellowed from age I suppose. Like the bourbon I'm enjoying in the company of this knife right now at sunset.View attachment 1122133View attachment 1122134

A few more since we are talking about jigged bone in the 2019 Forum knife thread. The jigged bone used on the vintage knives appears to be a lost art.

I really like those old bones Augie, especially that Catt knife. Texture on that one is similar to a morel mushroom and the color is outstanding.
Really they are all very nice examples of vintage bone.

I’m happy with this Pocket-worn jigging on this Case Swayback Gent. I wonder what it will look like after a few years in the pocket with some change.

Here’s some AG Russell jigged bone. This jigged bone even smells good. Can’t explain it but I just love the smell of this knife. HaHa!

This one just came in the mail yesterday. Nice and tight, steel liners, just need to flush and sharpen.
