Hey guys,

I decided that for Valentines day, instead of getting my fiance flowers or some other lovey-dovey BS, that I'm gonna get her a knife. She's in love with my MOD CQD Mark 1 and my ZT300, but ya know....that ain't gonna happen....ever.

So anyway, I was thinking.....what do you think would be a decent knife to get her? She has an old Gerber Paraframe thats dull as hell....I was considering getting her a speedsafe Kershaw Leek in black DLC.....any suggestions?

That Leek is a good one and they have the pink one or a Native. My wife currently EDCs a blue zytel Delica 3.

I am going to be doing the same thing. I plan on getting mine the new neck knife from Fehrman, its small but tuff, and about $75.

Tactical pink rat cutlery izula. But you WILL be jealous!

I actually got my daughter a yellow handled benchmade Mini-Grip when she went off to college.

I didn't think she would take to it, but just this weekend we went to see her and she had it in her jacket pocket.

Says she carries everywhere. Even had a healing cut on her finger where she was flicking it open and closed. I teared up a bit. :)

Very yes. I plan on getting one for my fiancee, actually! :D

She already has a Spyderco Delica Wave, a Buck Sirus (skull graffic), a finishline Case peanut and a Hanwei Venetian Stilleto, so what's one more? :D

Thanks for all the replies guys....my fiance actually despises the color pink....lol....she's a lot like me in her sense of likeness for guns, knives, cars, and the colors black and silver....:D

I'll be forced to use my creative side since my fiance doesn't really care for knives and I already used the "will you marry me" card :D

Kind of hard to top that one for valentines day :o

Perhaps one of the more unique Leeks. Such as the red handled ones, G-10 black stonewash leek, blue aluminum, etc....something that she can't find on a standard shelf at the local shop.

Hope that helps, J.

Benchmade mini grip 555HG... black of course! A Spyderco Native would also be excellent.

Yeah, my fiancee doesn't like pink either. What I have noticed - With knives she really appreciates good, sound, competant design. Good flowing lines and put together nice. Maybe that's why she digs the tactical look. Nice aesthetics and efficient performance.
Kershaw would be a good choice but do yourself a favor and check out CRKT's mini my- tighe or tiny tighe-breaker. That might just be right up her alley and it's affordable, too. Also, cover all bases and get a card and either a single rose or box-o-choclates to boot.

Well you gentleman are in luck, because the Izula also comes in Desert Tan and Combat Black :D :D :D I suggest getting her the Desert Tan and reserving Tactical Pink for yourselves. Jeff Randall claims that only a real man will wear tactical pink :D

I would say get her something pink---not because she's female (I'm not a practicing sexist, no way :D), but because it could match something else you get her.

For instance, what's a more wonderful Valentine's Day present than a cute red, pink, and white teddy bear holding a RAT Izula in pink, or a pink Native. You appeal to the traditionally feminine side with the soft colors and bear, and the functional side with a nice knife.

I would say read the thread - She doesn't like pink.

Sorry Steel. Had to poke at ya. All in fun.
