Hey, everyeone. Is it possible to get a linerlock converted to a lockback design? I really like the Fox Dart, but I don't like linerlocks. Hoping there's a way that doesn't cost a fortune.

Short answer- no. It might be possible, but it would cost a small fortune to have it done well.

What you're talking about would require an almost complete re-designing of the knife, and then the parts would have to be made. Re-designing a knife in a way that the knife would function properly would not be a simple task. And having one-off custom knife parts made would be very expensive, as opposed to mass-produced parts made by machines in quantities of hundreds or thousands.

Even if it were possible, I wager that it would be less expensive to have a custom knife designed and built from scratch incorporating the characteristics that you like from that knife.

^^^^ what he said.
Why not just get a lockback with the same blade profile; clip; drop point, or what ever? I'm not familiar with the knife you mentioned, so I don't know what the blade shape is.

Being a tanto karambit, the only thing I see close is the spyderco karahawk, I believe that's a loclback, and get the blade reground? I believe it would be very expensive to convert, as others saud, custom parts/spring etc. I'd look into the karahawk and talk to Josh (Razir edge Knives) Aboit getting it reground to a shape you prefer. It'll be a bit shorter, but I see that as your cheapest/easiest option
