Getting a little tired of tactical, coming back to Buck

The long view of Buck's product line. Thank you kindly XD. Well done.

I bet that you have photo-worthy examples of all cited blades. And I would be charmed and in your debt if you would consider providing a chronological photo essay of them all. I know how much work this entails. Pretty please.

:D

Look at my personal pictures and you can see some of the above mentioned styles in prototype form

I too love my tacticals, but it is fun to go back to my roots with my old Buck 112. I am not abandoning my tacts, love my Emersons, Spartans, Al Mars, Hogue and all the others, but it is real nice just to get back to the good old 113. Glad you guys are enjoying the thread, jeff

I think its also worth pointing out that until about 27 years ago the Buck 110 was THE tactical folder. Until SOG/Spyderco/Benchmande came along in the mid 80's you were pretty limited in buying a factory made quality large locking folder. Most of the old Vietnam era soldiers I served with when I joined the Army in 1987 carried 110's or a Schrade/Case/Western version of the 110. Also, the carry fixed blade of choise then was a Kabar fighting utility, Gerber MK II or a Buck 119 unless you could afford a Randall or custom made combat knife. I carried a 119 and Mk II until '92 when I could afford a Randall 15.
